As a data artist, I explore alternative roles for data and technology in our contemporary society by applying data analysis and data visualisation to everyday things.
The exhibit

The work what data I show when I show data about Haruki Murakami translates the rhythm of the stories by the Japanese author into a series of calming, meditative data animations. Using modern technology and data – often associated with the fast-paced contemporary society – the slow animations calm the mind and prepare it to start reading a novel.
The work brings the viewer closer to the mind of Haruki Murakami. The images feel like visual poetry, in which sliding doors reveal the story chapter by chapter.
